Entry Requirements

  1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. Residents of the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying to Qingdao University as international students must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2022, along with proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality. 
  2. Under the age of 25. Applicants should be healthy, both physically and psychologically, with no criminal record, friendly to China and must abide by the laws and decrees of China.
  3. Applicants shall hold a senior high school diploma and have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 4) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level).
  4. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) Mathematics result is required.

*1. Non-criminal Record Certificate
-Obtain a police clearance certificate from the local police station where you currently reside, confirming no criminal record in the past 6 months at the time of application.
-Some universities may require a certificate covering only the past 3 months, in which case the certificate is valid for 3 months only.
-If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated and notarized by an authorized agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
*2. Physical Examination Form
-Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.
-The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
-Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
-The medical results are valid for 6 months only.
-Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo will be considered invalid.
-The document must be in English or Chinese.

*3. Resume and a copy of the Commitment for Application.
-Submit a resume or CV to help the university better understand your background.
-Some universities may require you to use their designated CV templates, which must be downloaded and completed accordingly.

*6. Information page of the valid passport (passport type must be ordinary). The passport’s date of expiry should be after December 2026.

*8. Notarized highest diploma
Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations .
*9. Academic transcripts (from High school onwards).
Copies of academic records from first to last semester during High school onwards shall be provided. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending school’s academic affairs office, or student management department. They can be in Chinese or English, but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English.

*11. CSCA Test Transcript(s)
-You need to take the official CSCA test organized by the Chinese government and submit the corresponding subject result transcript(s) when applying. Learn more about the CSCA test >>
-The test covers Chinese (Humanities and STEM Chinese), Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Mathematics is required for all programs, while other subjects depend on the university’s specific requirements.

Once the updates are ready, you can check the attachment and information here for this university for the latest information. If no attachment is available yet, it usually means the university has not announced further details.
-Mathematics result is required.

Tips: For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit.
