Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. Residents of the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying to Qingdao
University as international students must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2021, along with proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
Applicants should be healthy, both physically and psychologically, with no criminal record, friendly to China and must abide by the laws and decrees of China.
Applicants for master's degree programs must have attained a bachelor's degree, and those who graduated from non-Chinese universities must hold a bachelor's degree from a university
accredited by the Ministry of Education of China. (Grade skipping or joining in the middle of the course is not permitted.)
Applicants with English as native language are exempted from English language certificate. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide IELTS (6.0 or above), new TOEFL (75 points or above) or other comparable certification of English proficiency.
Applicants who have obtained their highest degree with English as the medium of instruction are exempted from providing language proficiency certification, but proof indicating the language medium is required.

Program Description
School of Economics
The School of Economics, Qingdao University was established in 2000. Its predecessor was the Department of Finance and Monetary Economics, established in 1992. The School of Economics consists of six academic departments at present, Department of Economics, Department of Public Finance, Department of Finance, Department of Insurance, Department of Statistics, and Department of International Economy & Trade, offering seven undergraduate majors, Economics, Finance, Finance Engineering, Public Finance, Insurance, Economic Statistics and International Economics & Trade. We offer 3 doctorate programs, Applied Economics (1st level discipline), Financial Engineering and Risk Management (discipline field), and Complexity of Economic and Financial Systems (discipline field), in the School of Economics. The economics discipline offers two Level 1 mastery degrees: theoretical economics and applied economics, including 2
nd level disciplines such as Finance (including Insurance), Public Finance, Regional Economics, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Population Resources and Environmental Economics, Western Economics, World Economics, Political Economics, as well as tree professional master programs (Finance, Insurance and Statistics), thus completing the academic structure.
Among the Master and Doctoral Programs, the finance discipline was ranked the Key discipline of “the 9th Five-Year Plan of Shandong Province”, “the 11th Five-Year Plan” strengthening the construction of key disciplines and “the 12th Five-Year Plan” key disciplines. The PopulationResources and Environmental Economics is “the 12th Five-Year Plan” Key discipline and“Taishan Scholar” Special-appointed Professor Post of Shandong Province. The Finance major is anational first-class professional construction site and Shandong provincial Brand and Featured major. International Economics & Trade, Economics and Statistics, and Public Finance are High-level application-oriented key project(cultivation)construction majors in Shandong Province.
The School of Economics has two research bases in humanities and social sciences sponsored by Shandong Province, Research Base of Word Economy, Research Center for Blue Economy and Sustainable Development. The School of Economics owns a national experimental teaching demonstration center (the Liberal Arts Experimental Teaching Center of Qingdao University) and several high-level professional laboratories. The faculty of the School of Economics counts around 118 persons, among whom, 109 are full-time teachers, and 85.2 percent with Ph.D. There are 22 professors and 33 associate professors. *Online courses will be offered during the COVID-19 Pandemic.Courses Offered

-Obtain a police clearance certificate from the local police station where you currently reside, confirming no criminal record in the past 6 months at the time of application.
-Some universities may require a certificate covering only the past 3 months, in which case the certificate is valid for 3 months only.
-If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated and notarized by an authorized agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.*3. Physical Examination Form
-Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.

-The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
-Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
-The medical results are valid for 6 months only.
-Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo will be considered invalid.
-The document must be in English or Chinese.*4. Resume and a copy of the Commitment for Application
-Submit a resume or CV to help the university better understand your background.

-A written personal statement that introduces your educational background, personal experiences, motivation for studying abroad, and how your past has shaped your decision to study in China.

Fresh graduates are required to provide proof of graduation or proof of attendance. They must be required to submit academic credentials to be eligible for admission.*12. Two letters of recommendation
Two letters of recommendation (written only in Chinese or English) from professors or associate professors shall be submitted. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or the exchange between universities both in China and abroad.
13. Work certificate for applicants who have job.

For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit. - Video
